This month we present two sponsored films designed to entice British visitors to Ireland.

PROGRAMME 1: COME ABOARD

In this film, sponsored by B&I car ferries, Terry Wogan narrates the adventures of a young family, a hitchhiking couple, and a pair of motorists as they enjoy the delights of Ireland’s cities and countryside. This film was one of several made by Kieran Hickey and BAC films who were producers of a significant body of dramatic work.

PROGRAMME 2: FRIENDLY IRELAND

In this optimistically-titled promotional film, British holidaymakers travel with their Austin 1100 motor car on board an Aer Lingus cargo plane to explore the wonders of Dun Laoghaire, Dalkey, Glendalough, Lismore, Ballybunnion and Blarney.
