ARCHIVE AT LUNCHTIME: PROGRAMME 4 (FREE EVENT – APRIL 2014) Director: Book cinema tickets Join us for FREE lunchtime screenings of films from the IFI Irish Film Archive. This year’s One City One Book choice – If Ever You Go: A Map of Dublin in Poetry and Song inspires a richly varied programme of films about Dublin poets and poetry in our two strands, Archive at Lunchtime and From the Vaults. PROGRAMME 4: SEE YOU AT THE PILLAR An entertaining film about Dublin which uses quotations from a range of literary notables to illuminate the character of the city. Also used is a dialogue between an English visitor and a native Dubliner and old rebel songs which give the film an unusual flavour. Winner of the Silver San Marco Plaque, 1968 Venice Film Festival. FILM INFO: Peter Bayliss (18 minutes, 1968, Colour) As part of Once City One Book, the IFI will host a significant Archive at Lunchtime series in April which includes four programmes, along with another four longer documentary profiles held over the weekends.
