Willy Reilly and His Colleen Bawn at the NCH

Win a pair of tickets to the special screening of Willy Reilly and His Colleen Bawn, a powerful 18th-century melodrama, at the National Concert Hall in association with the IFI, on July 21st at 20.00. It is presented with the remarkable Dáil Bonds Film, which features Michael Collins and founders of the fledgling State. These films made in 1919 are preserved in the IFI Irish Film Archive and are accompanied by a new score by Bernard Reilly and the Cinetheatre Ensemble. 

July’s Free Afternoon Talk on July 19th will feature IFI Curator Sunniva O’Flynn who will be joined by Reilly and Dr. Kevin Rockett (of Trinity College, Dublin) for an informal discussion on this historically significant drama and on the art of creating music for silent film. Taking place at the IFI on July 19th at 14.00, tickets for the Afternoon Talk are free and can be collected at the IFI Box Office.
