During the 1980s miners’ strike in the U.K., when the workers and their unions were being vilified by the press, an unlikely ally appeared in the London Chapter of Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners. Leader Mark Ashton explains they were no strangers to discrimination themselves. Into the mix comes shy inexperienced Joe and mining town stalwarts Hefina (Imelda Staunton) and Cliff (Bill Nighy). Together they are determined to stand up for what they each believe in, in this crowd-pleasing tale.

€3.85 including regular tea/coffee before the screening. Wild Strawberries is our film club for over 55s. If you are lucky enough to look younger please don’t take offence if we ask your age.
