Careers in Screen is presented by Irish Film Institute and Virgin Media Dublin International Film Festival with the kind support of Screen Ireland and BAI.

This year’s event, aimed at students aged 15-18, offers a day-long in-person programme, designed to provide an insight into the various careers available to students in the film and TV industries. 

Careers in Screen Day will start with an in-cinema screening of The Racer, followed by a behind the scenes discussion with director, Kieron J Walsh, Yvonne Donohue (producer), Paul Tsan (grip), James Mather (DOP), Nicola Jackson (AD).

Also featured in this year’s programme are Moe Dunford, Hazel Doupe, Maureen Hughes, Animation Ireland, The Gal Pal Collective, costume, makeup, art dept, sound, Irish language filmmaking and more*.

The event takes place on Wednesday March 2nd and starts at 9.00. It is scheduled to end at 15.30. Talks also live-streamed online throughout the day.
