Not so for Frances, who’s struggling to make it as a professional dancer and enjoy the bohemian Manhattan lifestyle she’s always dreamed of. Indie-queen Greta Gerwig takes centre stage here (and also co-wrote the script with writer-director Noah Baumbach). This is a funny and insightful story, filmed in atmospheric black and white.
